Brooklyn based rock band Mercury Landing brought back their mix of classic rock, funk and jam to Arelene's after about a year of hiatus.
Mercury Landing opened to a packed room with a cover of The Beatles Sergeant Pepper - and the crowd went wild. The crowd kept on dancing throughout the set of funky baselines and driving beats.
Frontman Dan Haller displayed his gritty rock n' roll vocals and played some groovy bass lines. Tom Tompkins, a new addition to Mercury Landing proved his chops as he ripped on the guitar - blending nicely with veteran Corey Feldman. The two seemed to converse via guitar in perfect harmony. Nate Rosler's driving drums kept the whole crowd moving. Mercury Landing also gave the crowd a taste from Feldman's rock opera.
The show of course ended with the reprise of Sergeant Pepper, leaving the audience fulfilled. A good time was had by all - the audience and the band were all smiles.

Great show. I haven't stopped listening to it since that night! Love the Gringo/Blisters/The Green Emerald right in the middle of the set. Bring these folks back to Arlene's!!!
