Revealed in a video by Loading Ready Run, Mercurial Chemist is a powerful new toy for Izzet players to utilize in their decks.
Mercurial Chemister can take down even the large threats like a soulbonded Wolfir Silverheart if you discard a massive cards such as Worldfire or Omniscience, however it's a lot more practical to utilize regular "good" spells. For example, Mercurial Chemister allows you to use Flames of the Firebrand on one of your opponent's creatures for just one red mana.
Mercurial Chemister is a complete bomb in limited, and can also be very powerful in Commander where players pack their deck with loads of expensively costed cards.
Mercurial Chemister makes a great addition to both the Izzet Deck and the Sweet Revenge deck.
