I recently ran into the proud new owner of the highly anticipated new Mercedes-Benz Gullwing supercar, the SLS AMG. He was proudly displaying it at a local Northern Virginia event called "Cars and Coffee".
The Mercedes SLS AMG is the companies newest supercar and an obvious homage to the legendary 300 SL gull-wing from the mid 1950's. The owner, Jim compared his new SLS AMG to the F-15 fighters that he used to pilot back in the day.
My video interview with Jim featured below lets you hear first hand about what it's like to own one of the most highly anticipated supercars to come on the market in many years. Jim is a true sports car and Mercedes enthusiast, and it shows.
The SLS AMG happened to be parked next to a Ferrari F40 and it was kind of funny to see people's reactions. I guess it would be sort of like running into Jessica Alba and Jennifer Connelly at the same time...
