Mentor Women Project – needs pilot program participants

The Mentor Women Project of Santa Cruz is looking for volunteers to be part of a pilot study. The pilot study will help fuel program content for future ‘Associates’ or mentees who will have the opportunity to be mentored by professional business women, all of which is taking place in Santa Cruz County.

About the Mentor Women Project (MWP)
The goal of the Mentor Women Project is to provide young women (18 to 25) with a community of passionate, powerful, professional women who will assist the young women to navigate their professional and personal lives through sharing experiences. These relationships and experiences will nurture self-confidence, self-expression and connection. The Mentor Women Project offers one-on-one and group mentoring opportunities, connecting local professional women leaders with young women who did not have access to positive role models.

The Project was recently founded by Lana Sumati, a Professional Coach and owner of Energized Living Solutions, an organization which helps professional women leaders, executives, and entrepreneurs overcome the challenges and blocks getting in the way of their success.

How to participate in the pilot program study
Mentor Women Project of Santa Cruz (MWP) is interested in speaking with young women, ages 18 to 25 who reside in Santa Cruz County. Individuals must have acquired some post secondary education (up to but not including a four year college degree) and have had little or no access to positive role models. The purpose of the study is to determine the needs of young women seeking a mentor so that program content will address young women’s needs. Participants will be required to respond to a brief survey conducted by phone. If you are interested in participating in the study please contact Lana Sumati at 831-295-0462 or email Lana@energizedlivingsolutions.com .

How can mentors get involved?
MWP is also looking for professional women of all ages who are available and able to mentor young women in Santa Cruz. Mentors will be professional women who are committed to the mentoring of women aged 18 to 25, who did not have access to positive role models.
