Sarasota is fortunate to have an award-winning organization that reaches out to parents with parenting classes to help with mental health issues in families. Forty Carrots Family Center offers a comprehensive parenting program that includes classes for helping with mental health issues in the family. Mental Health for All is a major piece of the parenting program at Forty Carrots Family Center. The trained parenting educators and licensed trainers at Forty Carrots Family Center teach methods to create a family environment that nurtures healthy minds. Ways to develop strong emotional bonds between parents and children, pointers in understanding behavior and learning creative solutions, and creating a support network are all part of the mental health education classes.

Forty Carrots Family Center also offers a mobile outreach to the community. The Parenting Program and Mental Health Services on Wheels travels into the community to reach families with specific challenges. A variety of venues are available for the mobile outreach.
