Menounos 'Extra': Maria Menounos leaving 'Extra' because of Mario Lopez?

See also

Maria Menounos is leaving "Extra." It has been reported that the television show host turned reality television star is not getting her contract renewed because she and host Mario Lopez can't stand each other. On March 24, Latino FOX News reported that Maria and Mario will part ways soon -- but is it because of her relationship (or lack thereof) with Lopez?

With Maria's new reality show "Chasing Maria Menounos" doing well and the whole world at her finger tips, there is a good chance that Maria is ready to take her career to the next level... this is something that she has talked about -- but at the same time, she has also said that she has a "dream job."

Menounos and "Extra" could be parting ways by choice as a source says that Maria was not fired and that she has been looking into other options. Perhaps it's time that Maria settled down and had a baby (you know that would make her parents so, so happy) -- who knows? Sometimes it's just time to move forward.

"Maria was 100 percent not fired. The truth is, she decided months ago on her own to explore other options, as she knew her contract was coming up for renewal. She made this decision," a source told Us Weekly.

Will you miss Menounos on "Extra"? Do you think she is leaving on her own or do you think something else is going on?
