Menin, a 5'8" arts student helped the Dinos win a Canada West Conference silver medal this season. The Dinos finished with a record of 2-1-1, finishing second in the conference behind the University of Alberta Pandas.
Menin had two tries for the Dinos this season. Another Dino was also honoured with an award as Tarin Arndt won the student-athlete community service award. Arndt, who also plays the prop position on the Dinos' rugby team, is very active with charitable endeavours throughout East Africa.
In other Dinos news, the University of Calgary Dinos host the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds in the semi-final of Canada West football action Saturday afternoon at McMahon Stadium. The Dinos have gone undefeated to date throughout conference play, and are the clear favourite to represent the Canada West in the Mitchell Bowl on November 16.
