This week’s episode of “Ghost Mine”, which aired on October 23, found the miners working hard to raise the roof of the old Crescent Mine in search of the elusive vein of gold. But, the recent mining blasts may have done more than raise the roof of the mine.
Upon entering the mine, the miners immediately noticed that the debris from the blast was much more than they expected and set out to explore the roof of the mine. Armed with a ladder and typical mining tools, they soon discovered another mysterious hole that simply shouldn’t be there.
Because he was the smallest, Jamal was elected to climb into the hole to explore. As he climbed into the hole, Jamal quickly inquired whether the miners on the floor of the tunnel could hear anything. When told they could not, Jamal excitedly explained that he could hear menacing growls coming from somewhere inside the hole.
A frightened Jamal explained that he felt like something was in the hole with him and that things didn’t feel right up there as he scrambled down the ladder to safety.
Patrick and Kristen decided to send RIPA 3, a miniature remote controlled vehicle equipped with a camera, into the hole to see what they could find, but things quickly went wrong. As the miners hosted RIPA 3 into the hole in the roof, its motor suddenly engaged, even though the controls were not turned on. Attempts to stop RIPA 3 were unsuccessful.
Viewers will need to wait until next week to discover what has gone wrong with RIPA 3 and uncover the source of the menacing growls that frightened Jamal.
