Men experience labor for TV show: Pain of childbirth proves too much

Two men experienced labor contractions for a Dutch TV show, Huffington Post reports Jan. 17. Dennis Storm and Valerio Zeno host "Guinea Pigs," a show in which they do some pretty crazy things. The latest installment was fairly painful for the duo.

Storm and Zeno chose to see what it was like for women suffering through labor. They were fitted with electrodes on their abdomens and endured two hours of contractions propped on a bed. The experience had them doubled over in pain, yelling, and basically begging to end the entire session. Put quite simply, the pain proved too much for these guys. They got the gist of it.

Host Zeno said the simulated labor he did for the TV show made him wonder if he really wants his wife to go through that when she has their child. He admitted the labor he went through was pure torture. He'll certainly have empathy for her during the delivery.

The outcome of this "Guinea Pigs" episode may not come as a complete surprise to viewers. Many women will appreciate the willingness these TV personalities showed in going through this type of agony to begin with.
