Memphis, Tennessee - 1/28/2010

At approximately 1:00AM Wednesday morning 2 armed men entered the McDonald's franchise located at the 3200 block of Jackson Avenue and proceeded to rob the establishment while holding employees at gunpoint.

According to the police report dated January 27, two unknown men entered the restaurant with guns and began demanding money. There were only 3 McDonald's employees working at the time of the incident. One employee was allegedly held in a head lock and a second employee was forced to lie down face first on the floor. The remaining third employee was forced to bag money for the culprits.

The 2 men retreated from the restaurant with an undisclosed amount of money. The 3 employees on duty at the time did not suffer any physical injuries. A member of McDonald's management team stated that this same McDonald's outlet has been burglarized in the past. Although the crime was caught on video Memphis police have not made any arrests thus far nor have they released any surveillance pictures.

Police are encouraging anyone with information about this crime to contact Crimestoppers.

That particular section of Jackson is an awful area and police should patrol there at all times.
