Memphis Central Athlete Deddrick Thomas was holding out for one offer, despite having 10 offers already.
Finally 10 days ago on April 5, Thomas unofficially visited and got his offer from Mississippi State.
Today, Thomas (5-9, 175) committed to the Bulldogs becoming the 10th commitment in the Class of 2015 for MSU.
Thomas had a big 2013 season as his play helped lead Central to an 8-5 record and a trip to the Class 6A Quarterfinals.
He played multiple positions and rushed for 1,175 yards and scored 22 touchdowns at running back while throwing for 613 yards and nine more scores for the Warriors.
"Deddrick is a very solid athlete, with big play potential," Crutchfield said. "He runs great routes, has quickness and explosiveness."
"He is very creative with the ball after the catch and He has excellent ball skills and can even be a big time cornerback with natural cover skills."
Thomas chose the Bulldogs over offers from Ole Miss, Cincinnati, Duke, Marshall, Memphis, MTSU, Ohio University, South Alabama, Southern Miss and Troy.
He is the ninth commitment in the Volunteer State joining Blackman Athlete Jauan Jennings (Tennessee), Nashville Overton defensive back Ugo Amandi (Ole Miss), Ensworth defensive back Donovan Sheffield (Vanderbilt), Ensworth defensive back Rico McGrew (Georgia), Oakland offensive lineman Jack Jones (Tennessee), Maryville defensive end Dylan Jackson (Tennessee), Coalfield offensive lineman Zack Stewart (Tennessee) and Clinton wide receiver Jaylond Woods (Tennessee) as commitments in the Class of 2015.
