Just a quick note to update everyone on some local restaurant news. Drifters Feel Good Food (4009 Landis Avenue) opens up for full time hours this holiday weekend. I will have a full review posted for them by Friday, but I guarantee you the food is worth the trip. Stop by for a BBQ chicken slider and some brown sugar sweet potato fries and your taste buds will surely send you a nice thank you! It is also the only place on the island where sushi is available. They get a fresh delivery every day from Tokyo Mandarin in Marmora and it is about as good as it gets. Get there early, though, because if you arrive after I make my trip, you might find you are just a bit too late!
I also have some great news for those of you that love breakfast sandwiches. The best sandwich on the island just got a lot cheaper. I stopped in at Rick's Breakfast House (6114 Landis Avenue, inside the Acme shopping center) the other day for lunch and Deb informed me that the best breakfast sandwich on the island is now available all day (7am-2pm), every weekday, for $2.99! In addition, they are also offering the sandwich on the Saturday of Skimmer Weekend, June 18, at the discounted price. Check out my Rick's Breakfast House Review for my personal take on Rick's.
