It's not too late to make your plans for Memorial Day, one of the year's biggest travel weekends. Whether you decide to fly somewhere or drive locally, here are some deals to check out:

Virgin America Memorial Day Weekend First Class Sale

Sometimes, the itch to fly first class must be scratched. From now until May 28, you can purchase a first class seat on Virgin America for flights departing May 24 through May 29 for as low as $199. Included in the sale are flights to Las Vegas, the number one destination for summer travel according to Orbitz's Insider Index.

Napa Valley Wine Country Passport Weekend

From 11am on Saturday, May 26 to 4pm on Sunday, May 27, you can enjoy wine tasting parties at four different Napa Valley wineries for $50. Pick up your passport and custom wine glass at the start of the event and make your way to Beringer Vineyard, Etude, Chateau St. Jean, and St. Clement Vineyards, in any order that you like, for private parties hosted just for passport holders. Along with a tasting of their wines, each winery will have food, music and other entertainment. Love BBQ? Then head to Beringer Vineyard, where they'll provide BBQ bites for you to enjoy between games of bocce or croquet as live music plays in the background. Chateau St. Jean will also have BBQ, games and jazz. If you want something more sophisticated, there's Etude, where you'll have access to the summer tasting patio and classical music. St. Clement Vineyards will provide local food samples and blue grass music. Reserve your tickets now by calling 877-847-0058 to save $10 off the day-of price of $60.

Mammoth Ski/Bike/Golf Pass

Still want to get your skiing fix but someone else in your party is in full summer mode? Then head to Mammoth, where you can both be satisfied through their Ski + Bike + Golf Pass deal. Available from May 24 through May 28, you can play 9 holes at Sierra Star, go mountain biking at the Mammoth Bike Park, and enjoy unlimited skiing and snowboarding with an all-day lift ticket for $99, a savings of about $70. Since you'll also likely need a place to stay, the pass has you covered by providing 25% off lodging at Mammoth Mountain Inn, Juniper Springs, and the Village Lodge.

Carnival Cruise Lines Military Discount

Carnival Cruise Lines is honoring military personnel by offering active and former military members the chance to book up to three “Fun Ship” staterooms for themselves, family and friends at a discounted rate. Just make your reservation by May 31, 2012 for sailings through April 30, 2014. Three to five-day cruises start at $299 per person, six-day cruises start at $334 per person, and seven and eight-day cruises start at $534 per person. Call your travel agent or Carnival at 800-764-7419.

Even if you're not part of the military, there's a sale for you. Book a summer or fall cruise by May 31 and you can get up to $100 cash back, in addition to free upgrades. You can also book a cruise on past guest rates.
