Walmart, Costco, Target open or closed on Memorial Day 2014?
People are getting out of town and hitting the road and the stores this Memorial Day Weekend causing huge traffic backups, ABC7 News reported Friday.
Remember to take time out of the day to remember those who have served in the military.
Walmart open or closed on Memorial Day 2014? Store hours
Walmart will be open on Memorial Day with normal business hours. But some of the businesses inside including banks may be closed. If you are not sure, call ahead before making the extra trip. Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on what you think of Walmart, there are no Walmart stores in San Francisco. The closest is in Oakland or Richmond.
Attention Target shoppers. All Target stores will be open normal hours on Memorial Day. San Francisco is lucky enough to have two target stores: downtown on Mission Street near 4th and on Geary at Masonic.
Costco stores open or closed on Memorial Day?
Costco is an exception to the rule. Costco is closed on Memorial Day, which is one of six holidays the store honors. Of course, our Costco store is on Harrison at 10th.
BJ’s Wholesale Club
BJ’s is open on Memorial Day on a Sunday schedule 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. There are no BJ stores in San Francisco.
Home Depot is open on Memorial Day.
Lowe’s stores are open regular hours.
Best Buy is open on Memorial Day, regular hours.
Sears stores are open but some stores have “special hours” so you should call the store before heading out. Old timers will remember the old Sears store on Geary at Masonic but sadly, Sears is no longer in San Francisco.
Macy’s is open regular hours on Memorial Day and the store is offering a number of special sales.
The bottom line is that most stores with the notable exception of Costco which will be closed on Memorial Day.
