Local Catholic band Memorare will be performing at Holy Apostles college and seminary this Saturday, January 19, 2013. They will be part of the monthly act Catholic Underground Connecticut.
Memorare lead singer and songwriter Brooks Kay is a music teacher who holds two music degrees. Based out of Manchester CT, Brooks and his band have been making music for several years. They have performed at local shows throughout the Connecticut area.
Catholic Underground, in its sixth year, begins with prayer upstairs in the church. The prayer consists of a Holy Hour (Eucharistic adoration) that begins with exposition and ends with benediction. Evening prayer (divine office/liturgy of the hours) is said and then there is a period of prayerful music. Reconciliation is available during the hour.
Afterwards the crowd goes down for social time/snacks. Then the band plays its set. After the set is done, the event closes with night prayer.
