The summer season offers Clevelanders a chance to see a wide variety of musical events and enjoy some Ohio- made wines. On Saturday, July 12 and Sunday, July 13, music will fill the air and the wine will be flowing as Hale Farm & Village in Bath, Ohio presents their 40th annual Music in the Valley Folk Music & Wine Festival featuring acoustic Folk musicians. It is approximately a 30 minute drive from Cleveland.

A Little Bit About Hale Farm & Village For over 50 years Hale Farm & Village has provided lessons in Ohio's past to its visitors. The premier outdoor living history museum (comprised of 32 historic structures spread out over 90 acres), Hale Farm & Village depicts daily life of Western Reserve residents in the 1860's.

Visitors are able to observe demonstrations of crafts and trades from the era by skilled artisans dressed in period apparel. There are also several historic homes and buildings to tour in addition to numerous gardens and plenty of farm animals to visit.

Music in the Valley Folk Music & Wine Festival A wide variety of musicians will be performing on simple stages made of barn floors, benches and straw bales throughout the Festival. As visitors stroll the grounds and village, melodies produced by instruments like fiddles, banjos and dulcimers will fill the air.

New this year will be the addition of a wine garden where guests will be able to experience and taste some Ohio-made quality wines. Participating wineries include Maize Valley Winery, Troutman Vineyards and Winery, Myrddin Winery and The Winery at Wolf Creek.

Guests are invited to bring a lawn chair, sample some wine and enjoy the sights and sounds of this Festival.

Some of the crafts being demonstrated while music sweeps across the valley will be glassblowing, basket weaving, blacksmithing, pottery making, broom making and candle dipping.

Admission to the Music in the Valley Folk Music & Wine Festival is $10 for adults and $5 for children (3-12). Children 2 and under are free. Hours for the Festival are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. both days.
