Updated June 4 in foster care

According to Facebook: Greenville County Pet Rescue, this beauty arrived with an upper respiratory infection at the high-kill upstate shelter. Although she has a few days left, if she becomes worse, the shelter has the right to euthanize this girl. More information can be found on this Facebook thread.

Sweet Melissa is a Siamese mix. The shelter says she's around 2 year old, and is healthy except for the URI. She tested negative for FeLV and FIV. Despite being sick, Melissa is a friendly cat.

Upper respiratory infections are easily treated, and a cat will recover more quickly in a home environment. Extra precautions have to be taken to protect other cats in the home, but it can be done.
