Just eight months after her engagement to Jason Mesnick ended, the ex "The Bachelor" star became engaged in June. Melissa and fiance Tye Strickland will wed on December 12, 2009. "We aren't doing much. I think small...but whether it's going to turn the way we have in our minds, I don't know!"
Melissa was the winner of The Bachelor, but was later dumped on-air in the "After the Rose" special. Jason had changed his mind, decided that runner-up Molly Malaney was the better option.
Melissa was also on the last season of Dancing with the Stars, paired with Tony Dovolani. According to People Magazine, Tony approves of her new fiance, saying "he's a great home-town boy He will love her endlessly. She has reportedly invited Tony to the wedding, as well as other The Bachelor bachelorettes Jillian Harries and Naomi Crespo.
