Melissa McCarthy takes on roles in several raunchy films, albeit they are hilarious. Her superb comical performance in “Bridesmaids” had viewers wanting more of the outrageous comedy star. However, as a mother, she has to hold back the filthy roles from her daughters.
McCarthy’s daughters, 5-year-old Vivian and 3-year-old Georgette, probably will not be allowed to view the actresses films until they are much older.
I don’t know that my kids for sure know what I do. There are one of these posters (Identity Thief) on the way to school and they kind of go ‘Hi mama.’
McCarthy’s hubby, Ben Flacone, played a role alongside his wife in “Bridesmaids.” Their children haven’t been able to watch mom or dad play their roles on the big screen yet.
I have little tiny kids, so they’ve seen “Mike & Molly” but they haven’t seen “Bridesmaids” and they won’t see this one (Identity Thief) for a while either.
The R-rated upcoming film, “Identity Thief” includes the usual not-for-children language but also hosts plenty of violence inflicted by none other than McCarthy.
McCarthy reported a bit of an off-screen secret – she actually hit costar Jason Bateman in the face, causing him to bleed.
He threw me down on the ground on a highway and laughed at me. So then, I thought, I can take him.
McCarthy’s role in “Identity Thief” can be seen (by adults) on February 8, 2013.
