Melissa King, who recently gave up her Miss Deleware Teen crown after internet porn accusations surfaced, is also facing several legal issues. Huffington Post reported on March 3 that the troubled beauty queen now faces warrants for her arrest after failing to appear in court to answer for two citations stemming from underage possession and theft.
The warrants were issued after she failed to appear in court to answer for the above charges. King, who grew up in the foster care system between the ages 12-18, is accused of stealing cash from a city bus fare box last June. Last August King was cited for underage possession of alcohol.
King relinquished her title after accusations surface that she appeared in an amateur internet porn video shortly after she turned 18. A young woman resembling King appeared in the video claimed to be a beauty queen who resorted to porn because she needed money. King has denied appearing in the video. In a documentary about the foster care system, King discussed he success as a pageant winner but also feelings of depression and anxiety, that she says is common in foster children.
