Melissa King video a hot search item (video)

Yeah, it's no wonder that the two top "hot topics" listed on Alexa.com's “What's Hot” list at this writing are "Melissa King video" and "Melissa King."

As an online writer for nearly eight years now, reporters like me can only breathe a sad sigh of resignation at the heated hunt for things like that in the wake of the Miss Delaware Teen USA winner resigning her crown after a suspicious video was published online and thank God that the Internet wasn't this popular when she herself was a wild and wanton teen.

King's lawyer has sent a letter of resignation to the Miss Teen USA pageant, and Melissa has tweeted cryptically true statements surrounding the melee, all the while denying her participation in the video.

"Once you move on in life people shouldn't try to use your past against you…Let them be happy," King wrote on her Twitter page on February 23, 2013.

Indeed. And here's hoping the people who seek to watch the video get viruses downloaded instead. Okay, that's a bit harsh. Heaven help us all to overcome and forgive when we do wrong things.

King has described her financial hardships, things that made it difficult to be a normal teenager, so one could see how such struggles make it more attractive to do the wrong things to get money.

Motherly advice would tell the young woman in the midst of the storm right now to hold her head up high and prevail. It’s possible to go from slut to saint.
