Former Miss Delaware Teen USA Melissa King -- who was forced to resign after she was mistakenly (she says) reported to have "starred" in an amateur porn video -- has been offered a new title. The new title, it was reported on Wednesday, is adult film PR rep.
Adult-video sit YouPorn.com (indeed, it sounds a little too close to YouTube for some) has extended an offer to King, who turned 18 in March of last year, to become "Miss YouPorn" and travel the world promoting the site. It didn't take long for the offer to be presented to King; it was sent the same day the media picked up the news about her amateur adult film.
To be clear, King continues to dispute the woman in the film is her. However, the details given in the video (birth month, for example), her voice, and her appearance, all seem to point straight to King. Part of the video is linked above; judge for yourself.
In the letter, YouPorn marketing director Brandon Burns said:
As you now know, there is nothing more popular than a story involving ex beauty pageant contestants doing porn. While your peers and the Pageant officials may not like the publicity this is generating for them, we absolutely we see a real opportunity for us to work together!
We believe this story will only catapult your career and could really expose you to an entirely different audience. Many famous directors and producers frequent our site daily...I am sure through your travels with us as Miss Youporn, you will meet a lot of incredible people and see the world.
The offer letter does not explicitly mention having that King will be required to have sex on camera as part of the deal, but if indeed she was in an amateur video, one could see that she isn't averse to appearing in such situations.
The letter does instead suggest that the ex-beauty queen will be able to meet "famous directors and producers" in her role as the adult film site's spokeswoman.
