Melissa Harris-Perry pokes fun of Romney photo, Sarah Palin attacks

Many of you may have noticed by now that, when the Religious Right isn't staunchly defending the First Amendment rights of bigots and blowhards after they have offended the masses, they are getting completely bent out of shape over an ideological opponent having exercised their First Amendment rights in turn.

Sarah Palin, not even a week after he defended Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson, is now outraged by remarks by an MSNBC host who made fun of Mitt Romney's family photo.

Specifically, Melissa Harris-Perry noted the adition of Romney's adopted grandson, Kieran, who is black, sitting on his knee.

None of the offending remarks were by Harris-Perry herself. Actress Pia Glenn sang "One of these things is not like the others, one of these things just isn't the same," while Dean Obeidallah of the Daily Beast called it emblematic of the Republican Party as a whole.

In response, the half-Governor and supposed lover of freedom took to her Facebook page to express her outrage.

"Leftist media hounds are not expressing an opinion with this attack," she wrote. "They are expressing a prejudice that would never be accepted if it came from anyone else but the lib media."

"You really need a conscience, yellow journalists," she continued. "May your 2014 New Year's Resolution be to find one."

Seeing as Palin had no problem with Phil Robertson comparing homosexuality to bestiality or insisting that blacks were happy under Jim Crow-era suppression, she might want to consider making that her New Year's Resolution too.

By the way, the name Kieran is based on the Gaelic name Ciaran, which means "little dark one".

Palin evidently had no problem with that either.
