Melissa and Joe Gorga have been renting their home to Kai Patterson, and the tenant has responded to rumors about an eviction. Reality Tea reports on Wednesday that Patterson has shared exclusive details about his agreement with Joe. Despite reports that he was not making regular payments, Patterson reveals he sent several checks, but serious repair problems were not addressed by the couple.

The Gorga family had an agreement with Patterson that included both rent and purchase payments for the New Jersey home. They claim he has provided bounced checks and did not uphold the agreement by not paying $80,000, so they moved forward with an eviction. However, Patterson has shared information about his purchase agreement that contradicts their statements.

The Gorgas state they are still paying taxes on their old mansion while building a new house. Meanwhile, Patterson has mentioned a long list of problems he has found in the home that were not repaired and violated the terms of the agreement. In addition, he claims his rent was lower than the amount posted by the Gorgas.

Patterson already has a lawyer who is helping him fight back, but he has allowed the media to find out some of the issues in the Gorga mansion. The problems included a broken water heater, cracked ceiling, burst pipes and broken fireplaces. He also discovered other issues that ranged from leaky bathroom vanities to beavers living in the walls that forced him to spend time in hotels.

Patterson has explained he did not want to make payments while his repair notices were being ignored. He claims Joe promised to correct all of the problems, but he failed to do them. Additionally, he felt it was inappropriate to appear on the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” in an episode with the Gorga family about their home sale.
