“Little House on the Prairie” actress Melissa Gilbert is getting married! Her rep confirmed to US Weekly exclusively on Jan. 29 that she is engaged to “Thirtysomething” actor Timothy Busfield. This will be the third marriage for both of them.
The celebrity couple spent time celebrating their upcoming nuptials on Monday night at Beverly Hills Eatery Mr. Chow. Supposedly, the engagement happened over the holidays. However, the two lovebirds have known each other for the past 20 years or so. Their paths have crossed from time to time but now has led up to a future of wedded bliss.
Gilbert, 48, had been married to actor Bruce Boxleitner for 16 years until their divorce in 2011. She admitted last year that their split had been a challenge and very difficult on their two kids. However, her stint on “Dancing with the Stars” last year seemed to lift her up and give her more confidence to face her challenges. Her first marriage to Bo Brinkman ended in 1992.
Busfield, 55, had previously been married to Radha Delmarter and Jenny Meriwin and is a father to three children. Since his future wife has been on “Dancing with the Stars,” maybe he can snag a spot on the ballroom floor sometime soon. In the meantime, the happy couple can practice their dance moves at their wedding.
