The third time’s the charm. Actress Melissa Gilbert is engaged to former “Thirtysomething” star Timothy Busfield, according to a Jan. 29 PEOPLE report.
The couple reportedly got engaged over the holidays. “They are engaged and both are incredibly happy,” Gilbert’s rep confirmed to PEOPLE on Jan. 29. Another source told Us Weekly that the couple has “known each other for quite some time, as their paths have crossed off-and-on over the past 20 years.” Gilbert and Busfield celebrated their engagement at Mr. Chow restaurant in Beverly Hills on Jan. 28.
This will be the third marriage for both Gilbert and Busfield. Gilbert, 48, has two children and was previously married to Bruce Boxleitner and Bo Brinkman. Busfield, 55, is a father of three and was previously married to Radha Delmarter and Jennifer Merwin.
Last year Gilbert joined ABC’s reality show, “Dancing with the Stars.” According to PEOPLE, Gilbert was dating Thierry Gauchet at the time she partnered with Maksim Chmerkovskiy on the reality television show.
