Melissa Etheridge ROCKS the house at Pier Six

Melissa Etheridge was in rare form at Pier Six Pavilion rockin’ out on a hot Tuesday night. Opening with ‘Fearless Love’ Melissa had the crowd going from the first strum of her guitar.

Also performing her classic hits ‘Come To My Window’, ‘I Want To Come Over’, 'Bring Some Water’ and more with the crowd singing along.

Etheridge turned 50 in May and hasn’t slowed down in performance or voice. She sounds great live, just like her CD. She is a 7 year cancer survivor and gave a shout out to the PINK campaign for battling breast cancer in 2004.

Winning two Grammy Awards and nominated for fifteen, Etheridge also won an Academy Award for best original song, ‘I Need to Wake Up’ that she wrote for the documentary An Inconvenient Truth.

Her lyrics are deep routed from the soul and if you haven’t seen her perform live you should put it on your wish list.

Check out the rest of her Fearless Love 2011 Tour here.
