Melina is a survivor. She lived through who knows what before suffering a chemical burn and ending up at Plano Animal Services last November. Her journey since hasn't been easy either - first surgery to clean the burned flesh and more than 40 stitches to repair the damage, then weeks wrapped in bandages covering nearly her entire body. After that a failed adoption and subsequent return to the shelter, and it is safe to say that it is past time for this little girl's luck to change.
Melina is good with children and very smart. She is house trained, knows plenty of commands, and gets along with dogs her own size. Her wounds have healed completely, although a scar remains. As a very special VIP pet, Melina is available for adoption for only $25! That's a great deal considering she's already spayed, wormed, tested for heartworms, micro-chipped and she's current on her vaccination. And as part of the VIP pet program, Melina's adopter will receive a starter food packet including discount coupons and discounted dog training classes.
Melina is a very special dog and deserves so much more than what life has dealt her so far. Isn't there someone who could love her, and maybe even spoil her?
