Melechesh means "King of Fire" in Hebrew. Originally from Israel, this band relocated to the Netherlands. Formed in 1993 Melechesh is a unique blend of Melodic Black metal, Death Metal, with some middle eastern folk music influence. Their lyrical themes tend to revolved around Mesopotamian and Sumerian mythology. They have emerged with 5 full length albums, 2 EP's and 1 demo in 1995. All of their material is quite good and they have been gaining popularity since they formed especially among fans of that more exotic type of extreme metal.
Rotting Christ originally started off as a grindcore act, but after their Satanas Tedeum demo, they became straight up black metal. Eventually the band headed towards more of a gothic metal tone. With the release their 2004 album Sanctus Diavolos, however they began to regain their black metal sound, now bordering on a mix of gothic and black metal. From Athens and Attica, Greece, their lyrical themes revolve around Anti-Christianity, occultism, Greek mythology.
Hate hails from Warsaw, Poland and formed in 1990. This band started off as straight up Death Metal but later gained a bit of Black Metal influence. Hate carries a bit of an old school sound to them, having influences from the likes of bands such as early Sepultura, Obituary, Morbid Angel, and Death. Currently under the label of Listenable Records, they have released a total of 7 full length albums, 1 live album, 1 DVD, 2 best of/compilations, 1 EP, and 3 demos.
Abigail Williams' name comes from a girl of the same name who played a significant role in the Salem Witch Trials of 1692 and was depicted as the central antagonist in the play The Crucible by Arthur Miller. This band is straight from the US, the band's various members current and past, from Phoenix, Arizona and New York City, New York. In their early releases they carried a sound of Melodic Black Metal and Deathcore, but swayed more towards Symphonic Black metal in their later releases. Having many band member changes since their formation in 2005, the only original member still in the band is the guitarist and vocalist, Ken Sorceron.
Lecherous Nocturne is from Greenville, South Carolina and formed in 1997. Many would put this band under the genre of "Technical Brutal Death Metal." Having released 2 full length albums, 1 demo and 2 EP's so far the band is planing on releasing another new album called " Myth Manifest", which they said they would be playing material off of on their tour with Rotting Christ.
