Melanie Amaro considers NeYo, Mariah Carey for debut album

X Factor USA winner Melanie Amaro has a wishlist of recording artists and songwriters she hopes to work with on her debut, including R&B singer/songwriter Ne-Yo. Discussing the Epic project Wednesday, Amaro is hopeful for a collaboration with Mariah Carey as well.

"I really, really want to do a song with Mariah, like, oh my God, she is like my idol. I also want to work with Ne-Yo, cause I hear he's a great song writer," Amaro told BET's 106 & Park. "There are a couple of other ones but I'll leave that for the album."

As previously reported, Amaro has signed her $5 million contract with Epic Records. The deal, one of her prizes, will have Amaro working closely with LA Reid and Simon Cowell.

Amaro will also star in a Pepsi commercial slated to air during the Super Bowl.
