Mel Gibson's marriage to his wife Robyn, apparently was marked with the devotion of a family man. But that is just a brief flashback given the nasty goings on in court between Gibson and his former mistress, Oksana Grigorieva.
Now it appears that Mel Gibson is going to seek full custody of Baby Lucia according to the Ministry of Gossip, a Los Angeles Times blog. They noted that TMZ reported that Gibson will ask for supervised visitation and no overnight visits. Report: Mel Gibson to seek full custody of Lucia

She is being shunned by domestic violence groups. But most importantly, she has apparently defied the warnings of Judge Scott Gordon with regard to talking to the press, says TMZ

Mel Gibson as loving dad
For all of his apparent faults, Mel Gibson does seem to be a man who loves his children -- just as his former wife testified some months ago at a child custody hearing with regard to visitation with his lovechild, Baby Lucia.
Perez Hilton says: "Sources are reporting that while Mel was talking about his relationship with his children, particularly his 1-year-old daughter Lucia, he got all choked up.

"It may be an all-out custody war with dueling criminal accusations, but Mel Gibson and ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva still have to agree on diapers and doctors for their 9-month-old daughter Lucia.

Gibson has never done anything but love that child--in his words, actions, with his money, and even in saying on the Leno Show how thrilled he was that this baby was on the way even though it was a very difficult situation for him given he was still married to Robyn. I cannot believe that he ever did anything to hurt or risk hurting Lucia. Even at his most angry and desparate in the recorded rants, he always maintains how important his daughter is to him and how he wanted her.

He has always showed he was a loving Father to all his children and this one is no exception. I wish him luck and hope all is in and for the benefit of the child.
