Mel Gibson's soon-to-be ex-wife Robyn is out for blood in the couple's increasingly ugly divorce, reportedly hiring a private eye to follow Mel's pregnant fiancee, Russian "pianist and wanna-be pop star" Oksana Grigorieva and threatening to raze Mel's beloved chapel.
According to a report in the National Enquirer ("Mel's Wfie Goes Apocalypto"), "the gloves are off" in the "vicious" billion-dollar divorce case.
The story says the case "has taken a venomous turn with Mel's scorned ex putting a private detective on Oksana, and vowing to dismantle his Holy Family Chapel in Agoura Hills."
The Enquirer quotes a family "friend" as stating that "Robyn is out to get Mel in the end...There's $1 billion at stake, and Robyn is planning on taking it all, including Mel's chapel.
"Her attorneys have finally gotten through to her that the real est alone the chapel sits on is worth millions. While she's been a member of the chapel for years, Robyn's involvement was all because of Mel. She's not Catholic and she could not care less about Mel's shrine," the so-called friend revealed, adding that Gibson's scorned 53 year old starter wife has hired a P.I. to tail Oksana because "she wants as much dirt as possible to give her leverage if a court battle is necessary."
While the infamously hard-drinking, alllegedly anti-semitic Gibson (or as Austrian fashionista Bruno likes to call him, "Der Fuhrer") wants nothing more than to proceed with the "bifurcated" divorce, wherein the marriage will be terminated quickly, with division of property, alimony, child support and/or custody arrangementsto be determined later, Robyn is apparently digging in her heels.
Stay tuned for fuhrer, I mean further, details in "Hollywood's most vicious divorce battle."

1/2 - People should stop misrepresenting their personal opinion that MG is a hot-headed bigot as a rational fact. It's a wrongful, prejudiced assumption. First, one has to believe people are never unfair, or drunk people are never unfair, to consider the type of incident that took place in 2006 proof that a person is a bigot, and such ignorance would make one unfit to judge anyway. Secondly, this incident was in reality a once in a lifetime event that shouldn't be misrepresented as the opposite, a characteristic trait. When people have to twist a point to make a point not only do they not have a point, they have cast doubt on their motives and/or ability to reason in a sound way. Also, if misbehaving at one point in our lives, in an extreme set of circumstances, would make us hateful human beings, not a lot of us could honestly claim to be reasonable and decent anymore - including most of those attacking MG. Is it unlikely that one would have taken cheap shots under the - see 2/2
2/2 - circumstances MG was in at the time? No. Who wouldn't feel bullied if ever arrested, it's an instinctive reaction to having our freedom taken away. And when are we all most likely to take a cheap shot; when we feel bullied ourselves. Additionally, when is it most likely we would give in to that type of emotion instead of remaining fair; when our defenses are down, which is the case when we drink.
More and more people, fans and non-fans alike, have become increasingly alarmed by the amount of hatred coming MG's way. Contrary to MG, who misbehaved once and apologized for it, these people go on and on and show no remorse. The time that we are willing to take these continual attacks seriously is over. It looks a lot like bigotry itself. Whether MG is a bigot remains to be seen, many of those attacking him however are at least themselves infected with the disease they accuse him of having; a hateful attitude with no ability deal with emotions and facts in a balanced way.
Hey, I was just borrowing a joke from BRUNO. Mel might be an anti-semite nutjob, or perhaps just misunderstood, but I'll grant you this: he was awesome in PAYBACK, THE YEAR OF LIVING DANGEROUSLY, and the first LETHAL WEAPON. Thank you for your reasoned commentary, Nick 0987, and let me add that I'm just trying to present this stuff in an entertaining, tongue-in-cheek way. I actually sympathize with him in this case, although one can certainly understand where his ex's anger is coming from. Hell hath no fury, indeed.
All your friends spew venom like that, and boast when they drink too much and are stressed.. you feel that's "an instinctive reaction"? Seriously?
And I believe the divorce details have already been settled do I wouldn't put much stock in the source. Tabloid yeah?
I think that someone like Mel Gibson, who is obviously the icing on the cake, needs to walk away from this bunch of crap as soon as possible and just forget about the whole worthless experience. Obviously it was worthless, because I know exactly how he feels, being the opposite sex but in the same role as provider forever more. I just got rid of another worthless "piece," myself. Hey, I will partner with Mel anyday to help him recover his billions. I am sure he lost more money than he could ever dream of being married to such a flamboyant crock. Okay, anyway...Mel, you know I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU!!!!
Mel needs to put his head on straight, look in the mirror and get rid of the pregnant mistress. He can support the baby, but he doesn't need a opportunist to destroy his marriage. Robyn has been the most long suffering woman I've ever heard of in my entire life. No one would put up with the problems which she has suffered from her faithless husband. Just because you think Mel Gibson is good looking, rather should be God Fearing, doesn't mean Robyn has the problem. It's Mel, It's Mel! That rhymes with something I'm not going to repeat.
When you look in the dictionary under "long-suffering," there's a picture of Elizabeth Edwards.
Robyn's suffering will be alleviated somewhat by the eight-figure payout from the divorce.
