In one of his first major interviews since the tumultuous and public break up with his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, Mel Gibson is offering some shocking update on his next career move.
"I could easily not act again,” he told “Deadline Hollywood.” “It's not a problem."
Gibson has been in the news daily since audiotapes were leaked last year that featured expletive-laced rantings toward the mother of his youngest child.
While rumors flew that his career was over, Gibson has been quiet about what’s next for the actor with more than 50 films in his catalog.
He has said he plans to work with Randy Wallace, who wrote “Braveheart” starring Gibson in 1995. It won the Best Picture Oscar, so Gibson may be hoping for a comeback with a statue?
This latest news from the 55-year-old star is paired with his revelation that he also has regrets for his actions and the strong words he used toward her.
"I was angry at me," Gibson said of the tape recordings. "But no one expressed any anger at me. They may have felt it."
He also admits he felt betrayed by Grigorieva, 41.
"Who anticipates being recorded? Who anticipates that? Who could anticipate such a personal betrayal?"
