Could "Maverick" co stars Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster be harboring a paternity secret? News reports coming from Hollywood Life posted on Friday, Jan. 18, suggests that Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster may be closer than most people think, and that Jodie Foster's sons were fathered by Mel Gibson.
As previously reported, Jodie Foster claims she will reveal the name of her two sons Charlie,14, and Kit's,12, biological father when they reach the age of 21.
Ever since Jodie Foster's long winded, but rather odd speech, thanking her ex-partner Cydney Bernard, her two boys, and a special shout out to Mel Gibson, who "saves her" according to Foster, interest into Jodie Fosters private life has grown, especially when it comes to her sons, and who their father is.
Jodie Foster and Mel Gibson have been very have been extremely close friends since they starred together in 1994 in the hit film "Maverick. Since, Foster, has had nothing but loving things to say about her actor pal, even when Mel Gibson was going through his public meltdowns, and negative media coverage.
“He’s so incredibly loving and sensitive,” she recently said according to the New York Post. “I knew the minute I met him that I would love him the rest of my life.” Now everyone is wondering just how close Jodie and Mel really are and if they share more than just friendship?
“The kids look like him [Gibson] but blonder,” an amateur genealogist told the New York Post, although no other details were given. That is very interesting, considering everyone knows that Mel Gibson is very fertile and already has a huge family.
Do you think it is possible that Mel Gibson may have stepped in and helped Jodie Foster have the family that she so desperately wanted, or do you believe previous reports that feature statements from Foster's friend Reverend Beverly Bates who stated that her late son, producer Randy Stone was Jodie's closest friend and confidante, and it has been rumored on many occasions that Stone may have fathered Foster's two sons.
“Randy told me that Jodie said she’ll tell the boys who their father is when they’re 21,” Bates, 75, told Mail Online. “He said he could never tell me because Jodie was his best friend. He said, ‘Mom, I can’t discuss this with you.’
“He told me he had to sign documents, it was a secret he took to his grave, that was how much he loved Jodie,” Bates said of her late son, who died in February 2007 after heart failure.
