There is a rampant rumor hitting the internet that American-born Australian actor Mel Gibson is the father of American actress Jodie Foster’s children.
Foster gave quite a heart-felt speech during the Golden Globes for the Cecil B. Demille Award for a lifetime of achievement – 47 years in the filmmaking industry.
The 50-year-old actress also mentioned that she was gay and had two children through a surrogate father. That father Foster says will be named publicly when the boys Charlie and Kit, now 14 and 11, turn 21.
However, the name of the biological father has already been released to the public on celebrity tabloid television show “Inside Edition.”
The biological father is believed to be American actor, casting director and an Academy Award winner Randy Stone, who died in 2007 at age 48 of a heart attack. Stone was also the Executive Producer on the first movie that Foster directed, “Little Man Tate.”
Stone and Foster were known to attend Hollywood gala events together, hand-in-hand. However, Stone was reportedly homosexual and a prominent gay rights activist.
Stone’s mother, the Reverend Beverly Bates, is a firm believer that her son Randy “made an agreement with Jodie that he would never tell.”
Randy’s mother also says he was made to sign documents and that it was a “secret he took to his grave. That was how much he loved Jodie.”
The boys simply called him “Uncle Randy.” Inside Edition also claims that when Foster was away filming, Randy would pitch in to help Foster's companion, Cydney Bernard, to take care of them.
During her Golden Globes speech, Foster said, “I am so proud of our modern family. Our amazing sons, Charlie and Kit, who are my reason to breathe and to evolve, my blood and soul.”
Foster has also been with her female partner Cydney for the past two decades and proclaimed during the speech, “My heroic co-parent, my ex-partner in love but righteous soul sister in life, my confessor, ski buddy, consigliere, most beloved bff of 20 years, Cydney Bernard.” Wow, nice well-rounded relationship!
But Mel is apparently Jodie’s best male buddy and she has taken his side during his problems with ex, Oksana Grigorieva, who also had his child, Lucia, three.
So Mel Gibson is definitely not the biological father of Jodie Foster’s children. Do the boys even look like him? Sorry folks! But we’ll know for sure when the boys are both 21…
