Mel B booed at 'America's Got Talent' taping in New Orleans (Photos)

Howard Stern is used to being the most controversial person in the room, but during Monday's first day of taping for Season 8 of "America's Got Talent" in New Orleans, it was new judge Mel B who was causing the commotion.

According to a source for TMZ, the audience at Lakefront Arena heckled Mel B with a chorus of "boos" after the former Spice Girl dissed the day's first act, a local New Orleans brass band called Lagniappe. Mel B reportedly stated she simply wasn't a fan of brass music, and the crowd turned on her screaming things like "Go home!" and "No respect!". Monday was Mel B's first day as a judge on "AGT" and there have been mixed reactions to the news that she was taking over the seat formerly filled by Sharon Osbourne. Even Howard Stern himself admitted he was initially disappointed in the announcement, but said he changed his mind after seeing a clip of her judging on the Australian version of "The X Factor".

Heidi Klum has also been added as a fourth judge for the new season of "America's Got Talent".
