Megan Fox to star in the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' reboot

According to The Daily Blam on Feb. 21, executive producer Michael Bay, is bringing Megan Fox on board with the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" reboot. Though there had been some sour grapes between Fox and Bay that followed the "Transformers 2" movie, he decided to welcome her back under his wing.

Fortunately, Bay blogged an announcement on his official site stating, "TMNT: we are bringing Megan Fox back into the family!" That being said Nickelodeon and Paramount Pictures is joining up with Bay's production company Platinum Dunes to reboot the TMNT film. Fox is likely to be playing April O'Neil, who is occupationally a on-scene television reporter and is friend to the "heroes in a half shell".

It's up in the air whether or not it'll be the dark, Mirage Studios version of the comic book from whence it first it started it's birth. That version of April O'Neil had a different role, first a computer programmer employed by one of the first villains of the series and later an antique store shop owner that was attacked the turtles main rival, Shredder.

For those unfamiliar with the characters, story line, and other interesting tidbits, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are anthropomorphic beings that were raised and trained by their rat sensei, Splinter.

There is no production or start date planned at this time.
