Megan Fox to join cast of ‘Ninja Turtles’ reboot, confirmed by Michael Bay

In a surprising announcement, Michael Bay has confirmed that he will be working with Megan Fox on the upcoming reboot of the “Ninja Turtles” franchise according to Contact Music on Feb. 24.

Yes, the same Michael Bay and Megan Fox that had such a horrific working experience when they worked together on the “Transformers” franchise will be working together again. Fox at one point was so frustrated she compared Bay to Hitler and was ultimately fired.

The ‘80s kid and teen favorite quad of heroes on the half shell is being revamped and readied for filming with Bay involved in the financial side of things. The original series and movies were significant in spreading the popularity of the west coast surfer lingo including words like ‘bodacious’ and ‘radical.’

It remains to be seen if the very ‘90s-sounding vernacular will be used in the new films. One thing that has changed is the name. No longer known by the miles-long-moniker ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,’ the film will simply go by “Ninja Turtles.”

Since Bay isn’t directing – Jonathon Liebesman is – his heavy-handed style shouldn’t be a problem for Fox.

Currently other co-stars and even the plot lines haven’t been revealed. We’ll have to stay tuned for more news on the Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo and Leonardo reunion.
