Hollywood movie news! On Feb. 22, Deadline New York shared the celeb news that actress Megan Fox will be working with Michael Bay once again on a really cool new family film project. The news source reports, "Looks like Michael Bay doesn’t hold a grudge. He’s just announced via his blog that [Fox] will star in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the live-action/CGI feature from producer Bay, his Platinum Dunes and Paramount."
According to their entertainment news report, Jonathan Liebesman is directing -- not Michael Bay. This change of figureheads may be the reason why he is comfortable hiring the pretty brunette Armani model for a new project. After all, if he's simply footing the bill for the new project he won't have to deal with her as much day by day.
The controversial re-hire, "... comes after Fox was most publicly dismissed from Bay’s Transformers [sequel] back in 2010." After Bay and Fox clashed personalities, she compared him to Hitler. According to her he was so controlling on the set that he was truly a nightmare boss to work for on a movie project.
He fired her and replaced her with Victoria's Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley -- the young lady who is now dating actor Jason Statham. But now that he's a figurehead for the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" project and she's mellowed out as a new wife and celebrity mom, hiring her is a brilliant move.
After all, she does have fabulous star power. And, she's likely to be an iconic figure that can be drawn in future cartoon movies and comic book spin-offs. Since young boys are the ones who typically enjoy watching TMNT the most, they are sure to enjoy having her star in the new movie as well.
Megan Fox is married to actor Brian Austin Green. The two just had their first child together -- a son named Noah. Fox is also step-mother to Green's son Cassius.
