If you're looking for an opportunity to sample a lot of beer tonight, look no further than Once Upon a Vine South. They will be conducting a tasting of over 30 beers from several different breweries. There will be representatives from the different breweries to discuss their beers and to field any questions you might have.
The featured breweries include Allagash, Dogfish Head, Brooklyn, Great Divide, Uinta, Ommegang, and Brasserie D’Achouffe. Just about every style will be covered and there will be a good mix of rare, limited release and vintage beers on hand so you're bound to find something you haven't had before. Included in the vintage list is a case of Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA from 2008 and the 2009 and 2010 Brooklyn Chocolate Stout to taste side by side.
The event is scheduled from 4-7 pm tonight, November 8th. This is definitely worth crossing the river for, and if you're already on the South Side you've got no reason not to go. You've got over 30 beer samples under one roof and one of the best beer selections in the area, so come thirsty.
