Mega Millions winning numbers results worth $586 million for Dec. 17 drawing

To say that the Mega Millions jackpot results would change the winners life is becoming quite an understatement. Tonight's Mega Millions lottery drawing will be worth an estimated $586 million dollars, with the one-time cash option payout of $316 million.

Lottery experts are predicting that by the time tonight’s drawing takes place the jackpot could be worth $600 million or more, and if no one wins tonight or this Friday they estimate the jackpot will grow to one billion dollars.

Holy cow!

The winning numbers in last Friday’s drawing were 19, 24, 26, 27, 70 and the Mega Ball was 12.

Although no one struck it rich by matching all six numbers from the last drawing, nine lucky players became instant millionaires by matching all five white balls.

According to a Dec. 17 Michigan lottery update, two of the winning tickets were sold right here in the "Great Lakes State" while the other seven were sold in Colorado, Connecticut and New Jersey, plus two each in Florida, and New York.

Sure the odds may be long on hitting the big prize, but for only $1 per ticket it's worth taking a shot.

Be sure to check back here shortly after 11:00 p.m. EST as the winning numbers will be posted for tonight's drawing in the comments section below.

Good luck everyone.
