The final Mega Millions results for the July 5, 2013 drawing shows that a number of high-tier lottery winners will be receiving checks for millions of dollars in prize money very soon!
In addition to the $79 million Michigan Mega Millions jackpot winner, there are four (4) Match 5 + 0 winners. One (1) second-tier winner purchased their ticket from the California Lottery and will receive $338,643. One (1) Mega Millions winning ticket was sold in each of the following states for $250,000: Missouri, New York and Ohio. The winners matched five out of six white Mega Millions winning numbers, missing only the gold Mega ball number for the second-tier prize. If any of these winners spent an extra dollar on the Megaplier option, they may be instant millionaires!
There were also thirty-four (34) Match 4 + 1 winners for $10,000 each. Megaplier ticket holders may see their prize winnings increased to $40,000 instead of the standard prize of $10,000. Each $10,000 Mega Millions winner matched four out of five white Mega Millions winning numbers, AND the gold Mega Ball number for the third-tier prize.

The next Mega Millions drawing is scheduled for July 9, 2013, at 11 p.m. EDT. Because the Michigan Mega Millions lottery winner won the $79 million jackpot, Tuesday's jackpot will be reset and is now worth $12 annuity, or $8 cash-value before taxes. Mega Millions winning numbers are drawn Tuesday and Friday evenings at 11 p.m. EDT at WSB-TV in Atlanta, Georgia. Tickets are sold in 42 states plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
When is the Next Powerball Drawing?
The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for July 6, 2013 at 10:59 p.m. EDT. Saturday's estimated jackpot is $70 million annuity, or $41 million for a one-time cash lump-sum payment. Both options are before taxes are deducted. The Powerball game is played in 43 states plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Powerball winning numbers are drawn live Wednesday and Saturday evenings. Tickets cost $2 each.
