The Maryland Mega Millions winner will have their choice of the annuity option of $189 million paid out in 30 annual payments, or the one-time cash option of $129.7 million paid out in one lump sum. If the winner chooses to take the cash option of $129.7 million, or roughly $86 million after taxes. Not too bad for a $1 wager!
The lucky Maryland Mega Millions lottery jackpot winner purchased the winning ticket at the Dash In, located at 7845 Quarterfield Road in Severn for Tuesday's drawing.
According to Maryland Lottery officials on Wednesday, Oct. 2, the Dash In store is also a winner. For selling the Mega Millions winning jackpot ticket, the Dash In will receive a check for $100,000! The winning ticket remains unclaimed at this time. The winners have 182 days to claim their prize and must come in person to the Lottery’s Claims Center, located at 1800 Washington Blvd.

When is the Next Mega Millions Drawing?
The next Mega Millions drawing is scheduled for Oct. 4, 2013, at 11 p.m. EDT. Friday's estimated jackpot is back down to $12 million annuity, or $8 cash-value before taxes. Mega Millions winning numbers are drawn Tuesday and Friday evenings at 11 p.m. EDT at WSB-TV in Atlanta, Georgia. Tickets are sold in 42 states plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tickets cost $1 each, and another $1 for the Megaplier option which could instantly multiply your prize winnings.
When is the Next Powerball Drawing?
The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for Oct. 2, 2013 at 10:59 p.m. EDT. Wednesday's estimated jackpot is an amazing $70 million annuity, or $40.1 million for a one-time cash lump-sum payment. Both options are before taxes. The Powerball winning numbers are drawn live Wednesday and Saturday evenings at 10:59 p.m. EDT in Florida. The Powerball game is played in 43 states plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tickets cost $2 each.
