The Mega Millions jackpot winning numbers are climbing towards a record payout. Tonight's winning Mega Millions jackpot is worth an estimated $353 million, or a $194 million onetime payout. If someone doesn't match all six numbers in tonight's drawing, we could be looking a jackpot payout nearing $500 million next week.
According to a CBS.com report on March 14, no one matched all six numbers in last Tuesday’s drawing, and we are still waiting on someone to be the first big winner of 2014. The last time a Mega Millions player matched all six numbers was on Jan 3., but that prize was worth $61 million. Still, a very nice chunk of change!
In case you missed them, the winning numbers in last drawing were 09, 14, 56, 57, 69 and the Mega Ball was 10. The drawing multiplier was 4x.
According to a Michigan.gov lottery update on March 14, over 100,000 winning tickets were sold for the last drawing, including forty eight $500 winners and four $5,000 winners.
Tonight’s Mega Millions jackpot will be the third largest in the in the past five years, and the 5th highest in the history of the Mega Millions lottery. However it may be the 4th largest jackpot by the time the numbers are drawn tonight. The largest jackpot in Mega Millions history was $656 million back on March 30, 2012.
