The Mega Millions jackpot is once again starting to get the attention of the American public. Tonight's winning Mega Millions jackpot is worth an estimated $240 million, or a $133 million onetime payout. How sweet would it be to win a quarter of a billion dollars tonight?

According to a NJ.com report on March 3, no one matched all six numbers in last Friday’s drawing, but over 2 million in prize money was paid out, including a lucky $1 million dollar winning ticket that was sold in Georgia. The winning numbers in last Friday's drawing were 3, 31, 50, 58, 59 and the Mega Ball was 6. The drawing multiplier was 4x.

According to a Michigan.gov lottery update on March 4, over 105,000 winning tickets were sold for the last drawing, including thirty five $500 winners and four $5,000 winners. Reports as of March 3 indicated that two of the four $5,000 winners have not cashed in their tickets as of yesterday.

It's just another reason lottery players should always double check their tickets. You could have $5,000 big ones in your car, wallet or on your dresser in your bedroom and not even know it.

Be sure to check back as tonight’s Mega Millions winning numbers will be posted in the comments section below shortly after 11:00 p.m. EST.

Good luck!
