Following are the winning numbers for the Jan. 1 Mega Millions lottery Draw 786, as announced early Wednesday by lottery officials:
11, 21, 4, 44, 25 and Mega No. 29.
No one won the $30 million jackpot, but there were four $250,000 winners; one each in Illinois and Texas, and one in Washington.
There were 37 winners in the $10,000 category.
There were thousands of other prizes, ranging from $2 to $150.
The next draw date is Jan. 4, when the estimated jackpot will be $39 million.
The lump-sum cash value of the $39 million jackpot is estimated at $29 million.
The winner may decide, instead to receive 26 annual payments of $1.5 million, minus taxes.
"Players may pick six numbers from two separate pools of numbers - five different numbers from 1 to 56 and one number from 1 to 46 - or select Easy Pick," according to lottery rules. "You win the jackpot by matching all six winning numbers in a drawing."
Mega Millions tickets cost $1 per play.
