The winning numbers for the Jan. 22 Mega Millions lottery drawing are 16, 39, 7, 54, 11 and Mega Number 13.
No one bought a winning jackpot ticket, according to lottery officials, so the jackpot will rise to $89 million for the Jan. 25 drawing.
Two $250,000 winning tickets were sold in California in Santa Clarita and Fontana; and one each was sold in Colorado, Kansas and New York.
There were 31 $10,000 winners, according to lottery officials.
There were also winning $2, $3, $7, $10 and $150 tickets sold throughout the United States.
Mega Millions drawings are held each Tuesday and Friday nights at about 11 p.m. ET.
"Five balls are drawn from a set of balls numbered 1 through 56; one ball is drawn from a set of balls numbered 1 through 46," according to lottery rules. "You win if the numbers on one row of your ticket match the numbers of the balls drawn on that date. There are nine ways to win a prize, from $2 to the jackpot. If no one wins the jackpot, the money is added to the jackpot for the next drawing. Overall chances of winning a prize are 1 in 40."
Tickets are $1 each.
