New Jersey Lottery Winners Score Big Money!
Not only did one Maryland Mega Millions lottery winner hit the massive $189 million jackpot in the last drawing, but according to New Jersey Lottery officials on Wednesday, Oct. 2, New Jersey lottery winners are on a roll too! One New Jersey Lottery winner won $250,000, and four New Jersey Mega Millions winners hit $10,000 each in the Tuesday, Oct. 1 drawing. The five New Jersey lottery winners successfully matched all the correct Mega Millions winning numbers for their prize level.
The $250,000 New Jersey lottery winner purchased the winning ticket in Monmouth County at Howell Bowling, 1002 Route 9 S., in Howell. The $10,000 New Jersey Mega Millions winners bought their lucky tickets in Camden County at Friendly Food Mart, 1900 Green Tree Rd., Cherry Hill; in Essex County at Getty Food Mart, 242 Elizabeth Ave., Newark; in Somerset County at Plaza Deli & Catering, 856 Route 206 S., Hillsborough; and in Union County at Continental Wines & Liquors, 840 Elizabeth Ave., Elizabeth, for the Oct. 1 drawing.
New Jersey Lottery’s Executive Director Carole Hedinger commented,
"Congratulations to these lottery players who purchased the winning tickets and to the retailers that sold them. For selling the winning tickets the retailers have become five more of the Lottery’s most recent ‘lucky locations’ overnight."
What Time is Tonight's Mega Millions Drawing?
The next Mega Millions drawing is scheduled for Oct. 4, 2013, at 11 p.m. EDT. Mega Millions winning numbers are drawn Tuesday and Friday evenings at WSB-TV in Atlanta, Georgia. Tickets are sold in 42 states plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tickets cost $1 each, and another $1 for the Megaplier option which could instantly multiply your prize winnings.
