The Mega Million drawing is tonight, March 17, and it has a swollen jackpot of $400 million dollars. This is not a record breaker drawing for Tuesday night’s Mega Millions, but it is a bit different because it is on St. Patrick’s Day. Someone out there like you may play your Mega Millions ticket and have the "luck of the Irish" and win!

According to the Newsday on March 17, you can purchase Mega Million tickets up until 7:45 p.m. PT. as the drawing is at 8 p.m. PT., but it is later for the rest of the country. The tickets are on sale on the east coast until 10:45 p.m. ET. with the drawing at 11:00 p.m. ET.

Just on the outside chance you do have the “luck of the Irish” and win this jackpot, you can expect to take home $224.8 million in a lump sum cash payment. The game is played in 43 states.

Massachusetts and Connecticut are two of the states that offer the game in New England. With the game offered in 43 states, chances are if your state is not one of them, a state adjacent to your state probably offers Mega Millions. This would mean that most folks have access to picking up a ticket no matter what state they live in.
