Mega Metagross was revealed as a playable character in a new “Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire” trailer by Nintendo and the Pokemon Company on Monday, Examiner has learned.
Taking out a Swampert in the trailer, with one mighty blow the video promises that Metagross will pack a wicked punch. No longer stationary on all four legs, Mega Metagross now hovers over the ground and looks far more intimidating. While no stat updates have been released for the new Pokemon variation, it is known to be a steel/psychic type.
Nintendo and the Pokemon Company also announced a slew of other features for the upcoming games such as the return of Pokemon Amie, the unique virtual pet feature used in the X & Y series, but with one interesting update. In Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, you’ll actually be able to dress up your Pokemon (and view them in the Amie App) and like the original Ruby and Sapphire games, have them compete in contests to gauge their cuteness.
The last revelation in the trailer was new designs for every gym leader in the Hoenn region to coincide with the series jump into 3D. With the return of Secret Bases and even more mega Pokemon to be reviled, the upcoming games still have plenty of secrets to share.
“Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire” is set for a November 21 release on the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS handheld video game consoles.
